Mateo Gómez



Mateo Gómez has a Cum Laude Bachelor of Laws from Universidad de los Andes, and a postgraduate degree in finance from Universidad Javeriana. Mateo is an expert in corporate, M&A, banking and finance law.

As an associate senior lawyer in Serrano Martinez, Mateo advises local and international clients in private and public financing operations, and in the structuring and closing of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and other financial agreements. Among other clients, Mateo has advised Bancolombia, Davivienda, Banco de Bogotá, Uber, UberEats, Unilever, Comfenalco, Anchor Worldwide, Hino Motors y Blacksip, among others.

Mateo has been adjunct professor of Commercial and Financial Contracts at Universidad Javeriana and lecturer at the Latin American Association of Law and Economics (ALACDE). Before joining Serrano Martinez, Mateo was a lawyer for the Vice Presidency and the General Secretary of Arco – Bancoldex Group, and an associate at the firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría, where he advised local and international clients in M&A, corporate matters and in the structuring of public tender offers and other capital markets matters.
