BIO

Felipe is an expert in competition law, privacy, and corporate litigation. He focuses his practice in representing national and foreign companies in antitrust, privacy and consumer protection investigations, as well as corporate, contractual and unfair competition litigation, and business integrations.

Between 2012 and 2015, Felipe served as Chief Advisor for the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce and also acted as Deputy Superintendent of Industry and Commerce.

He also worked as attorney in the Litigation Departments of several Colombian law firms.  He is Professor of Competition Law at Javeriana, Andes and Externado Universities in Colombia. He was a Member of the Expert Commission appointed by the President of Colombia in 2015 to reform Colombia’s antitrust leniency regime.

He has published papers in different law reviews and is a frequent speaker at national and international events related to his areas of practice. Felipe is admitted to practice in Colombia and the State of New York, USA.

At Serrano Martinez Felipe represents and advises major companies in competition law matters, including clients in the oil and gas, retail, airline, ports, high-tech and beverages sectors. In the last years, Felipe has been recognized by “Chambers and Partners”, “The Legal 500”, “Global Competition Review”, among other publications, for being the head of one of the leading Competition law firms in Colombia.
